What is Occupational Therapy and Yoga Therapeutics?
Jessica integrates occupational therapy and yoga therapy to work towards her client's health and wellness goals. Occupational therapy is traditionally a holistic profession that improves, restores, or maintains meaningful participation in daily activities by addressing biological, physiological, social, and environmental underpinnings of dysfunction. Yoga Therapy bridges the gap in our current healthcare model and uses the principles of yoga to promote health and well-being. Yoga therapy offers insight into changing our relationship with the mind, body, and spirit through a self-directed treatment plan under the guidance of a yoga therapist. The yoga therapy tool kit includes yoga postures, breathing, meditation, chanting, Ayurveda, lifestyle design and routine. The union of both occupational therapy and yoga therapy provides a well-rounded perspective to address every clients' unique needs.
